Cosmos Hub halted its blockchain for 25 hours after an attacker moved 1.2 million stolen ATOM into a Hub address. Validators restarted the network on 23 September 2026 and transferred the tokens, worth about $2.1 million, out of the attacker's wallet.
Cosmos launched a partner network of 17 service providers to help banks move tokenized-deposit projects from pilots into production. Wells Fargo plans a cross-border tokenized-deposit rollout on Cosmos technology in fall 2026.
Cosmos Labs said attackers exploited a Cosmos EVM flaw to steal about $5.7 million from six blockchains between 20 and 25 August 2026. The firm had cleared the same bug as harmless in April.
